Satisfying the Consumer's Media Mobility Appetite
Tuesday, June 17 • 12:35 PM - 12:55 PM • Room S113
The “media mobility” landscape is evolving and driven by consumer demand – demand for speed (bandwidth), data-centric services (video) and easy access (wired and wireless). Few companies have the ability to address these driving trends and provide the solutions to meet them.
Consumers today have an almost insatiable appetite for bandwidth – at home, in the office and on-the-go. They also crave more personalized content and data on any number of devices – from mobile phones to their PCs. From a network perspective, low-cost, high-performance wireless broadband technologies, such as WiMAX, are critical. At the core of these networks, unique service delivery platforms are also needed to coordinate and manage the movement of services as subscribers travel between broadband networks.
Motorola’s Alan Lefkof will discuss the growing media mobility appetite and explain how this trend has forced a rejuvenated approach to home networking as well. Alan will detail Motorola’s Home & Networks Mobility group and how the company is satisfying this growing global trend.
