NXTcomm08 offers a variety of conferences designed for international attendees. New sessions are continuously added; be sure to check the conference section for more information and additional programs. Note: a nominal fee is required for this programming.
U.S. Commercial Service's International Buyer Program (IBP)
NXTcomm08 has been selected to participate in the U.S. Commercial Service's International Buyer Program (IBP), which recognizes the event's worldwide importance in the telecommunications industry. The IBP is a joint government-industry effort designed to stimulate U.S. exports by promoting major U.S. industry exhibitions to international markets. The IBP helps increase exports by increasing the number of international buyers visiting major U.S. trade exhibitions, providing U.S. firms likely to export with practical help and advice and providing international buyers with opportunities to visit the United States and meet with prospective U.S. trading partners.
Exhibitor Export Interest Directory
The interactive version of the Exhibitor Export Interest Directory allows viewers to find exhibiting companies interested in exporting their products or services. You can match your interests and theirs by using any (or all) of three criteria to find companies that fit your needs: geographic location, language and business objective. The NXTcomm08 Show Directory provides a static list of these companies as well.
myNXTcomm
myNXTcomm enables you to make the most of your show experience by connecting you to relevant companies and people, find important new products and identify the conference sessions most likely to meet your special interests. myNXTcomm suggests the activities most worthwhile for you and creates a personal show plan with customized walking map, including exhibit booth numbers, and provides you with a personal in-box for invitations and messages.

Most international visitors must have a visa to enter the U.S., and it is absolutely critical to apply as soon as possible. The U.S. Department of State provides explicit instructions on how to apply for a visa as well as online application forms. Visit http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_1750.html for complete information.
Helpful hints:
- Review the U.S. Department of State website for changes to the visa process that may affect you.
- Apply for your visa as early as possible and at least 90 days prior to your departure date.
- Obtain a letter of invitation upon completion of your registration at NXTcommShow.com.
- Check your passport expiration date to ensure that it is valid for at least six more months.
- If you already have a visa, check the expiration date to make sure it will not expire before your trip.
Citizens of Canada whose sole purpose to enter the U.S. is to attend NXTcomm are allowed to enter the U.S. as a B-1 Temporary Business Visitor without an actual visa. To cross the U.S. border, you must present a valid passport, proof of residence in Canada, intent to depart the U.S., and/or documentation describing the business purpose of your travel. If you are a non-Canadian residing in Canada and not a citizen of a visa-waiver country, you will need a visa. See http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/without_1260.html for more information.
Visa letters will not be sent to Canadian registrants. Third-country residents in Canada may contact NXTcomm directly for their letters. All other international registrants will receive their letters of invitation automatically.
Visa waiver countries:
Travelers coming to the U.S. from visa waiver countries for business purposes, 90 days or less, may be eligible to visit the U.S. without a visa. Currently, 27 countries participate in the Visa Waiver Program:

All other travelers must have a visa to enter the U.S. More information on visas.
Letters of invitation (electronic):
While submission of a letter of invitation from the host entity to the local, in-country U.S. consular office is not an absolute requirement for visa issuance, NXTcomm will issue letters of invitation as a matter of courtesy to all international registrants. Every international attendee, except Canadians, who registers online via NXTcommShow.com will automatically receive a securely formatted letter of invitation by return e-mail, starting in January 2008.
- It is important to fill out the registration information carefully and correctly because names, titles, company name and address for letters of invitation are taken directly from the online registration form.
- Letters of invitation are sent ONLY after registration is completed.
- Each registrant must provide his or her own e-mail address on the registration form to receive this letter of invitation.
- Individuals or groups using the same e-mail address will not receive letters.
Official Delegations
Enhance your NXTcomm08 experience by joining a delegation led by U.S. Department of Commerce staff posted in your country. Take advantage of the U.S. Commercial staff expertise, who can help make the most of your time in Las Vegas. To find out more or to learn more about becoming part of a delegation, go to www.buyusa.gov/home/import.html, click on your country and then on the “Contact Us” link to request assistance.
Please wait to register after you investigate what your local U.S. Commercial Service Office has to offer. Attendees who plan to be part of official U.S. Department of Commerce buyer delegations, however, should see their local U.S. Commercial Service Office BEFORE registering to find out if they qualify. Attendees who become official delegates are given a special code to use that overrides payment on the registration form. If you register and pay BEFORE becoming an official delegate, you will not receive a refund. Register for NXTcomm as soon as registration opens—it may take 90 days or longer to secure a visa.
