Content king to continue digital content delivery dialogue during NXTcomm08

May 6, 2008. Arlington, Va. `Survivor’, ‘The Apprentice’ and `Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader’ Producer Mark Burnett recently shared his experiences and thoughts on digital content delivery during an exclusive, executive event in Hollywood, hosted by NXTcomm and InfoComm and sponsored by iHollywood Forum. Burnett’s comments on the symbiotic role between entertainment and communications began an industry dialogue which will continue on June 19, 2008 during NXTcomm08 in Las Vegas. NXTcomm, the one event delivering the ecosystem of network-enabled voice, video and data, comes to the Las Vegas Convention Center June 16-19 and will co-locate with InfoComm08, the leading audiovisual business-to-business marketplace.  “I absolutely will be considering new delivery channels as I develop new shows,” Burnett commented. “A fantastic opportunity lies in mobile - today it is unheard of for anyone to leave their home without a mobile, which presents the ideal distribution channel for viewing the content people want, when they want it. But it is not enough for producers to only deliver content over these new channels; they also must re-think and refocus their production to accommodate new distribution channels. I applaud NXTcomm for creating a forum for the entertainment and communications communities to convene and share.”

Burnett will continue this industry dialogue at his keynote address during NXTcomm08’s Thursday morning keynote session on June 19, 2008. Burnett’s keynote address, embracing innovation, uncovering emerging technologies and focusing on the consumer experience is just part of NXTcomm’s programming focusing on the convergence of entertainment and communications. NXTcomm will also host iHollywood Forum’s “Communications Goes Green @ NXTcomm08”, the first serious business summit to explore how telecommunications manufacturers, developers, applications, services and technologies can create a sustainable future, develop environmentally friendly practices, adopt green policies and deploy energy saving technologies while still keeping their competitive edge.

NXTcomm08 is expected to draw thousands of communications professionals from more than 100 countries and U.S. territories. NXTcomm08 will feature more than 500 exhibitors occupying 200,000 net square feet of exhibit space as well as 100 keynote addresses, sessions and conference events and coverage by over 450 press and analysts.
