Kerman Telephone Case Study

Kerman Telephone is an innovative rural telecommunications provider located in Central California. Kerman had been experiencing issues with a few misbehaving subscribers consuming an inordinate amount of bandwidth with mail traffic. Kerman sought out solutions to help them find the source of this problem, so they could take action on these “out of policy” behaviors.

Xangati’s RPI solution was installed and integrated in Kerman’s infrastructure and was able to deliver actionable information within hours. Kerman was able to track down which users were the offending spammers. The product showed the most active users of mail and clear evidence of the offenders literally exchanging traffic with hundreds of SMTP mail gateways.

David holds a BS in Economics from The Wharton School, UPENN.
