Voice: The Glue That Unifies Communications

This presentation will address the emergence of voice as the glue that unifies and enables true communications convergence. Whether by email, SMS or telephone, communications on one of these platforms has always been about either voice or text, but not both. When voice can be converted to text, communications and messaging becomes converged and multi-faceted. Emails can be delivered via the written or spoken word. Voice messages can be responded to simply and efficiently. Bloggers and social networkers can speak to the Web. Voice, and the ability to capture it and convert to text, will bridge the divide between communications platforms and enhance messaging in both the telecommunications and Web 2.0 environment.
